2027 Status (expected)

• Application fee in past cycles: about ₹1,350 (USD 90 for international test cities). Verify for 2027.

Eligibility

• Class 12 with PCM or PCB, at least 60% aggregate in PCM/PCB and at least 50% in Maths (or Biology), per VIT's official site. SC/ST candidates and those from J&K/Ladakh/North-East need 50%.
• Age limit: one 2027 listing says candidates born on or after 1 July 2004 are eligible. Confirm in the official brochure.
• PCB students take the Biology version of the paper and are eligible only for the branches the brochure lists for Biology-stream candidates (e.g., Biotechnology, Bioengineering).

Exam Pattern

• Duration: 2.5 hours (150 minutes).
• Marking (revised in 2026): +4 for correct, −1 for wrong, 0 for unattempted. Before 2026 it was +1 with no negative marking. Many older websites still show the old pattern.
• For reference: VITEEE 2026 was held from about 28 April to 3 May 2026.

Syllabus — Topics

• PCM/B: Class 11 & 12 (state board / CBSE / NCERT level), very similar to JEE Main.
• Aptitude: data interpretation, data sufficiency, syllogisms, number series, coding-decoding, clocks, calendars, directions, logical reasoning.
• English: reading comprehension, grammar, sentence completion, vocabulary basics.

Preparation Timeline

• With JEE Main preparation, VITEEE needs only 3–4 weeks of exam-specific practice after JEE Main Session 2 (April).
• Questions are moderate. Speed and accuracy matter most.
• Fees depend on the rank-based "category" (fee tier) you are allotted.

Tips: Since 2026 there is negative marking, so don't guess blindly. Accuracy matters more than attempting everything. Practise 10–15 VITEEE-style mocks.
