2027 Status

• The 2027 notification has not been released yet.
• Past cycles: 2025 exam on 7–8 April 2025. 2026 exam on 6–7 May 2026, with registration from 24 Jan to 4 Apr 2026.
• Expected 2027: registration Jan–Mar 2027, exam Apr–May 2027.

Eligibility

• Class 12 with Physics, Chemistry, Biology and English.
• At least 45% in PCB (40% for SC/ST/OBC), and you must pass English.
• Minimum age 17 years by 31 December of the admission year.
• Maharashtra domicile for the state quota. Some seats are open to all-India candidates.
• Note: some Maharashtra nursing seats (e.g., AIIMS Nagpur, central institutes) use NEET or their own exams.

Exam Pattern (2026 pattern, expected to continue)

• Duration: 90 minutes (most sources). One source says 3 hours, so confirm in the brochure.
• 1 mark per question, no negative marking.

Syllabus — Topics

• Physics, Chemistry, Biology: Maharashtra HSC Class 11 & 12 level, similar to the MHT-CET PCB chapters but asked at an easier level.
• English: grammar (tenses, articles, prepositions, voice, narration), vocabulary (synonyms, antonyms, one-word substitution, idioms), reading comprehension, sentence correction.
• Nursing Aptitude:
  • General knowledge of health, hygiene and first aid
  • Basic nutrition, communicable diseases, vaccination
  • Nursing as a profession (Florence Nightingale, the nursing code, ethics)
  • Logical reasoning, situational and empathy-based questions
  • Basic numerical reasoning

Preparation Timeline

• Start in Class 12 (around October), alongside the boards.
• 3–4 months of focused preparation after the boards is enough for most students.
• PCB students preparing for NEET or MHT-CET PCB already cover the science portion. Add English and Nursing Aptitude practice for 30–45 minutes a day.

Tips: The questions are easy and fact-based, so accuracy and speed decide your rank. Attempt every question. Take sectional mocks for Nursing Aptitude, since it's the unfamiliar part.

Counselling

• CAP rounds run through the CET Cell, based on the merit list. Top choices include government nursing colleges (GMC-attached) in Mumbai, Pune, Nagpur and Aurangabad.
