The State Common Entrance Test Cell of Maharashtra, Mumbai, has officially announced its plan to appoint Scrutiny Centers (SC) to facilitate the admission process for professional courses for the upcoming academic year, 2025-26. 📝
In a public notice released on June 18, 2025, the CET Cell has invited applications from interested colleges to serve as facilitation and verification centers. These centers will play a crucial role in the Centralized Admission Process (CAP) by assisting candidates with online application submissions and verifying their documents.
The online portal for colleges to register as a Scrutiny Center will be active from June 19, 2025, to June 24, 2025. Interested institutions can register through the official portal: https://fcreg2025.mahacet.org/.
Key Responsibilities of a Scrutiny Center (SC):

➡️ Scanning and uploading required documents for applicants.
➡️ Verifying original documents and confirming the application form.
➡️ Handling grievances from candidates as per the notified schedule.
It is mandatory for all Government, Government-Aided, and University-managed colleges to register for this role. The CET Cell emphasized that the selected centers must provide their services free of charge to the candidates for activities like form filling and document verification.
This move is intended to create a smooth and accessible admission process for students and parents across the state. The CET Cell will select centers from the pool of registered colleges to ensure wide availability of these facilities.
