The Government of Maharashtra's State Common Entrance Test (CET) Cell has officially opened the gates for engineering aspirants. A detailed admission notice has been published for the four-year B.E./B.Tech and five-year integrated M.E./M.Tech programs in government, government-aided, university-managed, and private institutes across Maharashtra for the academic year 2025-26. π£
The entire admission process, from registration and document uploading to option form filling and seat acceptance (CAP Rounds), will be conducted online through the official website, www.mahacet.org.

Online Registration & Document Upload:
June 28, 2025, to July 8, 2025 (up to 5:00 PM)
Document Verification & Application Confirmation (Online Mode):

Who is Eligible? π
Eligibility criteria vary slightly based on the candidate's type. Hereβs a simplified breakdown:
For Maharashtra State, All India, and J&K and Ladakh Migrant Candidates:
- Nationality: Must be a citizen of India.
- Academic Qualification: Passed 10+2 or equivalent examination.
- Mandatory Subjects: Physics and Mathematics are compulsory.
- Optional Subjects: One subject from Chemistry, Biotechnology, Biology, Technical Vocational subject, Computer Science, IT, etc.
- Percentage: A minimum of 45% marks in the above subjects combined (40% for Reserved categories, EWS, and PwD candidates from Maharashtra).
- Entrance Exam: Must have a non-zero score in MHT-CET 2025 (PCM or PCB group depending on the course) or a non-zero positive score in JEE (Main) Paper-I.
For NRI / OCI / PIO / CIWGC / Foreign National Candidates:
Candidates should have passed the 10+2 or equivalent examination with Physics and Mathematics, along with one other relevant subject, securing at least 45% marks.
How to Apply: The Application Process π»
The application process is completely online. Candidates do not need to visit any center for registration.

Step 2: Fill the online application form with accurate details.
Step 3: Scan and upload the required documents.
Step 4: Choose a document verification mode: E-Scrutiny (fully online) or Physical Scrutiny (visit to a selected Facilitation Center - FC).

Important Instructions for All Candidates β οΈ

Document Verification: The E-Scrutiny mode is recommended, as it allows verification from anywhere without a physical visit. If any errors are found, the application will be sent back to the candidate's login for correction.

Reservation Certificates: Candidates from SC, VJ/DT, NT, OBC, SBC, and SEBC categories must produce a "Caste Validity Certificate." ST candidates need a "Tribe Validity Certificate."

Non-Creamy Layer: All backward class candidates (except SC/ST) must have a Non-Creamy Layer certificate valid up to March 31, 2026.

EWS Certificate: EWS candidates must provide the eligibility certificate as per the prescribed format for the AY 2025-26.

Failure to Produce Documents: If a candidate fails to produce the required original reservation certificates during verification, they will be treated as a General category candidate.
