CTET (Central Teacher Eligibility Test)
π· What is CTET?
CTET (Central Teacher Eligibility Test) is a national-level eligibility exam conducted by CBSE for candidates aspiring to become teachers in Central Government schools.
Qualifying CTET is mandatory for teaching jobs in:
- KVs (Kendriya Vidyalayas)
- NVs (Navodaya Vidyalayas)
- Central Government schools
- Many state & private schools also accept CTET
π― Papers in CTET
CTET has two papers:
πΆ Paper I β Primary Teacher
- Classes I to V
π§βπ« Paper II β Upper Primary Teacher
- Classes VI to VIII
π Candidates can appear for Paper I, Paper II, or both.
π Exam Frequency
- Conducted twice a year
- Usually in July & December
- Computer-Based Test (CBT)
